Since 1921, the YWCA of Kaua‘i has continuously provided programs and services to our rural island community. Our mission is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

The YWCA of Kaua‘i is a leader on issues of women’s empowerment and nurturing women’s leadership in our community. We work to improve the lives of women and girls through economic empowerment, community education and ending the types of violence that are prevalent against women and girls. The YWCA is passionate in the belief that women have a right to equal opportunity in pursuing their dreams and making decisions that best meet their personal goals. This scholarship is our commitment to encourage and support young women in achieving their educational pursuits.
